    In 2005 we set out to may an ultra-low budget film called Dead in the Water. For fifteen days we made camp in northern Wisconsin and did just that. Less than a year later we had our first sale to Indian Pictures. They picked up the rights to our movie for distribution in North America.

    For me the hardest part of any production is raising the money to make a film. Many people know films are expensive to make, especially Hollywood films. We see those numbers every day: Watchmen cost between $125 and $150 million to make. Even a "low budget" film such as Slumdog Millionaire cost an estimated $15 million. The real low budget film is a million or less, dubbed by most "ultra low budget".
