There is a movement I've recently come across I wanted to share: fan edits. Fan editors are a group of people that for one reason or another want to modify films either to improve the film, preserve it or create extended cuts.

For me the hardest part of any production is raising the money to make a film. Many people know films are expensive to make, especially Hollywood films. We see those numbers every day: Watchmen cost between $125 and $150 million to make. Even a "low budget" film such as Slumdog Millionaire cost an estimated $15 million. The real low budget film is a million or less, dubbed by most "ultra low budget".

Over the last week Scott has been working hard on the revisions for the The End Has Gone. He’s cut eight pages (down to 110 from 118), added more conflict and upped the final confrontation at the end. It’s now a much scarier world than previous drafts. I’m really looking forward to filming this come summer!
The business plan and budget for The End Has Gone has been submitted to the other two producers for approval. Once that's done everything will be locked and sent out to investors.
